With 382+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, eagle rays, giant moray eels, humpback whales and sperm whales - The Canyons offers some of Kadavu & Great Astrolabe Reef's richest diving.
The Canyons offers a leisurely dive, a good spot for easing back into things or for newer divers. We found the coral formations here really interesting, with some nice swim-throughs at around 16 metres that open up into sandy patches. It’s a gentle drift sometimes, but nothing too taxing, meaning you can really take your time observing the smaller reef fish darting amongst the soft corals. We’ve seen juvenile reef sharks cruise by, and plenty of anemonefish families tucked into their homes.
