Passe de Céran - TAHAA - Bora Bora

Passe de Céran, over on Tahaa, often gets overshadowed by Bora Bora’s flashier dive spots, but honestly, we love it for that. It’s a proper drift, so you just let the current take you, no kicking required, which is our favourite kind of dive. Expect to glide past walls dotted with longfin bannerfish and brilliant red hawkfish perched on corals. What really grabs you here is the sheer number of butterflyfish – not just the common ones, but Tahiti butterflyfish and dot and dash butterflyfish weaving through the reef. Keep an eye out for the smaller stuff too; we’ve spotted ornamented wrasse darting between the rocks and even a few cloth-of-gold cone snails if you’re patient. The current usually isn’t too aggressive, making it a good pick for divers comfortable with a bit of movement who want to just relax and watch the world go by.
