Tahiti Plongee Passion - Moorea & Tahiti
The team at Tahiti Plongee Passion are the kind of people you want guiding you in French Polynesia. Based on Tahiti’s east coast, they’re perfectly positioned for hitting those drift dives that truly show you what this part of the world is about. We love their smaller boat sizes, which means less faffing at the surface and more time exploring the reef. Our favourite dives with them are definitely the outer passes, where you often find yourself gliding along with grey reef sharks, sometimes a dozen or more. You can really feel the current pulling you, a proper exhilarating ride. On a good day, the visibility stretches so far you almost lose perspective, and the light filtering through the water column plays tricks on your eyes. We’d suggest going early in the morning; the water often feels calmer then, and the light is just perfect for photography. They're PADI pros, so whether you're starting out or looking to advance, you’re in good hands. Just be prepared for strong currents on some of the deeper dives – it’s part of the thrill, but worth knowing if you’re not used to it.
