With 146+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, dolphins, giant moray eels, octopuses and sperm whales - The Drop Off offers some of Rangiroa's richest wall diving. Water ranges 27-29°C, warmest February, March, April.
The Drop Off in Rangiroa is a classic wall dive, best suited for those comfortable with drift diving. We've seen reef sharks patrolling the edge, often joined by Napoleon wrasse and schools of fusiliers. It’s a good spot to just let the current carry you along the reef face.
