With 297+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, giant moray eels, grey reef sharks and seahorses - Peelack Channel offers some of Yap's richest drift diving. Water ranges 29-30°C, warmest June, July, October.
Peelack Channel in Yap is often a drift dive, following the outgoing tide as it sweeps you past walls and overhangs. We've seen grey reef sharks patrolling the deeper sections and often spot eagle rays gliding overhead. It's a good pick for divers comfortable with current looking for pelagic action rather than intricate reef scenes.
