With 297+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, giant moray eels, grey reef sharks and seahorses - Stammtisch offers some of Yap's richest reef diving. Water ranges 29-30°C, warmest June, July, October.
Stammtisch in Yap is a solid choice for a drift dive. We often find ourselves gliding along, eyes peeled for grey reef sharks patrolling the current, and the occasional manta ray makes a graceful pass. The site itself is more about the pelagics than intricate coral formations, though there are some decent hard coral patches. It’s a good one for experienced divers who enjoy a bit of current and big animal encounters.
