Splash Dive Center - Rock Islands
The team at Splash Dive Center are our go-to for a relaxed Palau trip, especially if you’re staying at the Palau Pacific Resort. They’re right there on the beachfront, which makes for some seriously easy mornings. No long transfers, just roll out of bed, grab your gear, and hop on the boat. We love their approach to teaching, patient and thorough, perfect if you’re bringing a non-diving partner for a Discover Scuba Diving experience or want to dust off those skills with a quick refresher. What makes them special, for us, is that blend of resort convenience with genuinely knowledgeable local guides. They know the Rock Islands like their own backyard. We’ve had some fantastic dives with them, particularly around the Ulong Channel area in the mornings, when the reef sharks are still sleepy and the current hasn't quite kicked in. They’re adept at finding those smaller critters, too, like the mandarinfish popping out at dusk, if you ask nicely. It’s a comfortable, low-stress operation that really lets you focus on the diving, which, let’s be honest, is why we all come to Palau.
