Oganzaki Lighthouse - Ishigaki & Yaeyama

Oganzaki Lighthouse makes for a solid, easy dive, especially if you’re looking for something gentle. The main draw here is a large swim-through, about 10 meters long, that’s just wide enough for two divers side-by-side. Inside, you’ll often find lionfish tucked into crevices and occasionally a whitetip reef shark resting on the sandy bottom. It's a great spot for newer divers to practice buoyancy in a confined space, or for photographers who want to play with the light filtering in. We often go here if conditions elsewhere are a bit choppy, as it tends to be quite protected.
