With 428+ marine species recorded in the area - including bull sharks, manta rays, mobula rays (devil rays), seahorses and sea turtles - Sakuraguchi offers some of Ishigaki & Yaeyama's richest diving. Water ranges 23-30°C, warmest July, August, September.
Sakuraguchi offers a gentle, shallow dive, maxing out at 12 metres. It’s a good spot for newer divers getting comfortable in the water, or for an easy second dive. You’ll find small reef fish moving through the coral patches. It’s a calm site, often sheltered, making for relaxed conditions.
