With 428+ marine species recorded in the area - including bull sharks, manta rays, mobula rays (devil rays), seahorses and sea turtles - Tokakinsone offers some of Ishigaki & Yaeyama's richest diving. Water ranges 23-30°C, warmest July, August, September.
Tokakinsone is an intermediate site, topping out at 21m. It’s a good spot for a relaxed drift, often with decent visibility and a chance to spot larger pelagics in the blue. Keep an eye out for schooling jacks and barracuda, especially around the deeper edges. It’s a solid option for divers who enjoy a gentle current and open water encounters.
