Ito Shark City - Izu Peninsula
Ito Shark City, off the Izu Peninsula, is one for those who appreciate the hunt. It’s an intermediate dive, with depths around 21m, and while it doesn’t jump out with vibrant corals, the draw here is the possibility of shark encounters. We’ve seen anything from small dog sharks tucked under ledges to the occasional larger bottom dwellers patrolling the sand. It’s a good spot for divers keen on something a bit different from typical reef dives, especially if you enjoy patiently observing what the open seabed brings.
