Jeju Scuba School - Jeju Island

The team at Jeju Scuba School are the real deal if you’re looking to dive Jeju. We’ve found they specialise in taking divers from zero to hero, particularly with their PADI 5 Star IDC Resort status, so if you’re thinking of going pro, this is a solid choice. What we really love about them is their commitment to local diving, taking you to some of Jeju’s less-trodden spots, which we think is a big win over just hitting the main attractions. Diving with them, you’ll likely feel the unique chill of the temperate Korean waters, a refreshing change from the tropics. We often spot octopus hunting amongst the volcanic rock formations, and the schools of fusiliers can be so thick they genuinely block the light for a second. Our favourite trips are the morning dives, just as the sun breaks and paints the water in soft, shifting blues. They’re super good at reading the conditions, so if there’s a bit of a current, they’ll have a plan to make sure you’re still comfortable and safe. We’d suggest booking your dives for late spring or early autumn; the visibility tends to be at its best then, and the water is still warm enough to be pleasant without needing a drysuit.
