Ocean Tree - Jeju Island

The team at Ocean Tree are straight shooters, incredibly professional, and just a joy to dive with. We’ve found they really excel at PADI instruction, especially if you’re looking to go pro with their IDC offerings. They’re a fantastic choice for divers who appreciate a high standard of service and a meticulous approach to safety, particularly those keen on exploring Jeju’s unique volcanic topography. Diving in Jeju is a bit different; it's not your typical tropical reef. Think dramatic volcanic rock formations, some surprisingly colourful soft corals, and a real chance to spot larger pelagics like yellowtail and sometimes even schooling mackerel. We love the dramatic drop-offs around Munseom, where the cool currents bring in plenty of action. Ocean Tree knows these spots intimately. They’re great at reading the conditions, crucial on Jeju when the weather can turn quickly. Our favourite time to dive with them is late summer into autumn, when the water is at its warmest and visibility often settles into a comfortable 15-20 metres. Don’t expect Caribbean warmth; this is temperate diving, so a good 7mm or even a drysuit is a smart move. After a few dives, you'll really appreciate their warm showers and the hearty post-dive meals they often arrange.
