Seogwipo Dive Center - Jeju Island

The team at Seogwipo Dive Center are some of the warmest people you’ll meet on Jeju. They specialize in guiding divers through the unique volcanic topography around Munseom and Beomseom, perfect for anyone looking for something a bit different than your typical tropical reef. We’d recommend them for divers keen to explore temperate water ecosystems, especially those who appreciate meticulous safety briefings and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. What really makes Seogwipo Dive Center stand out is their local knowledge. Our favourite dives with them involve navigating the labyrinthine rock formations, spotting strange nudibranchs tucked into crevices, and keeping an eye out for the resident soft corals that paint the deeper walls in muted purples and oranges. It’s a completely different vibe from diving in Southeast Asia; the water has a crisp, refreshing feel, and the sunlight filters through kelp forests, creating an ethereal glow. We always suggest asking about conditions around Beomseom for the chance to spot larger fish like yellowtail kingfish cruising by. Just be prepared for cooler water; a 7mm wetsuit or drysuit is definitely the way to go, even in summer. They run a tight ship, making sure everyone feels comfortable, whether you're taking your first PADI course or you’re an experienced diver keen to log some temperate water time.
