HSIN-HUNG-FA - Northeast Coast

The HSIN-HUNG-FA isn’t just another sunken fishing boat, it’s a living museum on the Northeast Coast. Dropped purposefully in 1991, this wreck has become a proper home for sea creatures, not just a temporary stop. We especially love descending onto its deck, feeling that shift from open water to the solid structure below. You can easily spend a whole dive exploring the wheelhouse, seeing the gauges still in place, or poking around the stern, where schools of snapper often hang out. Visibility here can be a bit variable, but on a good day, the light plays beautifully through the superstructure, illuminating the soft corals that have started to carpet the metal. Our favourite part is navigating the cargo hold, a dark, inviting space where you’re almost guaranteed to spot a moray eel peeking from a pipe. It's a great dive for anyone comfortable with wreck penetration, or even just circulating the exterior, watching the resident lionfish patrol their territory. Dive this one early to beat any crowds and catch the best light.
