Rotxa de Ventoinha - Santo Antão
Rotxa de Ventoinha is a decent introduction to Santo Antão's underwater scene, particularly if you’re just getting your fins wet. It’s a shallow, sheltered spot, maxing out at 18 meters, which makes for a pretty relaxed dive. We've often seen schools of surgeonfish grazing on the rocks here, and the occasional moray eel peeking from a crevice. Visibility is usually consistent, making it easy to spot the smaller reef fish darting between the volcanic boulders. It’s a gentle place to get reacquainted with your buoyancy or try out some new gear.
