South Button
Why dive here
With 176+ marine species recorded in the area - including dugongs, sperm whales, spinner dolphins, nautiluses and pufferfish - South Button offers some of Andaman Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 28-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
South Button offers a gentle dive, often with minimal current, making it ideal for newer divers. You'll likely spot spiny sea squirts clinging to the substrate and plenty of long-spined sea urchins nestled in the rockwork. Keep an eye out for the Bearded Sabretooth Blenny, often peeking from its hideaway. It’s a pleasant spot for a relaxed dive, good for taking it easy and observing the smaller stuff.
