Shark Point - Nosy Be
Shark Point off Nosy Be delivers pretty reliably on its name, though it’s not always a guaranteed bull shark frenzy. We’ve found the best time to catch the bigger sharks cruising through is early morning, before the boat traffic picks up. The corals here, particularly the large table corals and impressive heads of brain and honeycomb coral, are in decent shape, making for a pleasant drift even if the sharks are playing shy. Keep an eye out for small giant clams tucked into the reef and the occasional green sea turtle munching away. It’s generally a relaxed dive, good for intermediate divers looking for that thrill of a potential shark encounter without battling insane currents.
