Ocean Dimensions Kihaa - Baa Atoll
The team at Ocean Dimensions Kihaa are, frankly, a delight. They’ve been diving the Baa Atoll for ages, and it shows in their quiet confidence and the way they know every nook and cranny of the reefs. We especially love that they’re a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort, which means their training is top-notch if you’re looking to advance your certs, but they’re just as happy to lead you to the good stuff if you’re already qualified. What makes them special? Their proximity to Hanifaru Bay is a huge draw, especially during manta season, but don’t sleep on the other sites. We’ve had incredible drifts along Kuda Rah Thila, watching grey reef sharks cruise by in the current, and spent a whole dive at Dharavandhoo Thila just watching schooling bannerfish and snappers so thick they form shimmering walls. They run their boat trips with a relaxed efficiency, often heading out early to beat any crowds, which we always appreciate. Definitely ask them about their favourite afternoon sites; sometimes those offer surprisingly quiet encounters with turtles or eagle rays.
