Hanifaru Thila - Baa Atoll

Hanifaru Thila is a nice little pinnacle in Baa Atoll, a fairly easy dive at 25 metres. We’ve found it’s a good spot for newer divers, with calmer conditions often found closer to the thila itself. The visibility here is usually pretty reliable, letting you pick out the smaller stuff, like nudibranchs clinging to the overhangs and an occasional passing reef shark patrolling the deeper sandy channels. It’s not the big show of its famous neighbour, but it’s a perfectly pleasant dive for a relaxed afternoon.
