Why dive here
Housereef West is a reef dive where divers can encounter blue sharks, sea turtles and spinner dolphins. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest March, April, May.
Housereef West in Baa Atoll offers a surprisingly relaxed dive. While it might not blow your hair back with huge pelagics, we often find it’s a lovely spot for an unhurried exploration. Keep an eye out for the thalassia seagrass beds, which are a bit of a rarity in the Atoll and often conceal some interesting macro life if you’re patient. It’s a gentle introduction to Maldivian reef diving, perfect for a check-out dive or if you’re keen on photography without fighting a current.
