Kottefaru Thila - Baa Atoll
Kottefaru Thila sits as a lone pinnacle in Baa Atoll, dropping to a manageable 21 metres. It's a great spot for intermediate divers, offering a straightforward profile without anything too demanding. We often find good numbers of grey reef sharks patrolling the edges here, especially if there's a bit of current to bring in the nutrients. Look out for schooling fusiliers, their silver scales flashing in the sun, and keep an eye on the sandy bottom around the pinnacle – we’ve occasionally spotted a resting leopard shark if we're lucky. It's a reliable dive for classic Maldivian reef action.
