Maavaru Thila - Baa Atoll

Maavaru Thila, a deep pinnacle in Baa Atoll, usually delivers a solid dive. We've often found ourselves drifting past the reef’s edge, eyes scanning the blue for the larger pelagics that tend to cruise by. The pinnacle itself, though not bursting with colour like some shallow reefs, holds its own with plenty of nooks and crannies for reef sharks and schooling fusiliers. It’s a good choice for intermediate divers looking for that classic Maldivian Thila experience without overly challenging currents. You can expect to drop to about 22 metres and then drift along, letting the current do some of the work.
