Kuramathi Caves - North Ari Atoll
Kuramathi Caves offers a laid-back dive, perfect for those new to overhead environments. We drop onto the reef at around 12 meters before exploring the shallow overhangs and small caves that give the site its name. Inside, expect to find nurse sharks dozing on the sandy bottom and schools of glassfish shimmering in the darker recesses. Keep an eye out for moray eels tucked into crevices. It’s a gentle introduction to cave diving, generally with mild currents and decent visibility, making it a good choice for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon experience.
