Kuramathi Housereef - North Ari Atoll
The Kuramathi Housereef is a surprisingly solid option, particularly if you’re looking to get your fins wet after a long journey or just want a relaxed afternoon dive. We’ve found it reliably holds a good number of reef sharks patrolling the drop-off, and the resident green turtles are often quite curious, sometimes even approaching divers for a closer look. It’s a gentle introduction to Maldivian diving, relatively shallow at 17m, making it ideal for beginners or those wanting to practice their buoyancy without much hassle. Expect good visibility most days, perfect for spotting the smaller reef fish darting amongst the coral patches.
