Maagiri Thila - North Ari Atoll

Maagiri Thila is a friendly little pinnacle in North Ari Atoll, perfect if you’re still getting comfortable with Maldivian diving. The top of the thila is around 8 metres, dropping off to 23 metres at the sand. We usually find it fairly sheltered from the stronger currents that can whip through other sites here, making it a relaxed spot for beginners. You’ll typically see reef sharks circling the deeper edges and schools of fusiliers swirling above the coral blocks. Look closely and you might spot an octopus tucked into a crevice.
