Thoddoo Turtle / Vella Ulhey Than - North Ari Atoll
Thoddoo Turtle, or Vella Ulhey Than as the locals call it, is a lovely shallow reef in North Ari Atoll. At a max depth of 20 metres, it's a calm spot that's ideal for newer divers looking to get comfortable. We often find several green sea turtles resting on the coral bommies or cruising past, unbothered by our presence. Keep an eye out for smaller reef fish too, like angelfish and butterflyfish darting through the soft corals. It's not a thrill-a-minute drift, but it’s a consistently pleasant dive for getting up close with some relaxed reef residents.
