MSTS North Blue - North Malé Atoll
The team at MSTS North Blue are just… *good*. Not just good divers, but good people. We’ve spent enough time in the Maldives to know a well-oiled operation when we see one, and these folks have it dialled. They operate out of North Malé, which means easy access to some of the atoll’s iconic drift dives. Think ripping currents through channels, bringing in manta rays and grey reef sharks like clockwork. Our favourite way to dive with them? An early morning launch to Lankan Manta Point. You often get the site to yourselves for a precious half-hour before the crowds descend, watching mantas circle the cleaning stations, sometimes so close you feel the displacement of water as they glide past. It’s a sensory overload – the rush of the current, the low grumble of the boat engine waiting to pick you up, and that incredible feeling of weightlessness as you watch these giants. They’re a PADI 5 Star centre, so expect professional operations and decent gear, but it’s their genuine enthusiasm and local knowledge that really makes them shine. If you’re looking to tick off those big pelagic encounters in North Malé, we’d suggest putting MSTS high on your list.
