With 95+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, sea turtles, spinner dolphins and whale sharks - Old Virgin offers some of North Malé Atoll's richest diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, July.
Old Virgin is a mellow drift along a shallow reef in North Malé Atoll, perfect for newer divers. The current is usually gentle here, letting you take your time over the coral formations. Look out for schools of snapper and fusiliers moving along the reef edge. It’s a good spot to relax into a dive, especially if you’re still getting comfortable with your buoyancy.
