We’re talking drift dives where you feel the current push you past patrolling grey reef sharks, the flash of eagle rays overhead, and the constant hum of fusiliers. Our favourite morning dive is often North Channel – get there early for the best chance of spotting hammerheads before the boat traffic picks up. The visibility here is usually excellent, often pushing 25 metres, and you can sometimes feel a slight chill as you descend into the thermoclines, a sign the big stuff is around. They're SSI through and through, perfect if you're looking to complete your Open Water or advance your skills, and they really nail the complete package, often sorting out accommodation that keeps you right in the heart of the island’s easygoing rhythm.
