With 148+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, sea turtles and whale sharks - Dega Thila offers some of South Ari Atoll's richest pinnacle diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, July.
Dega Thila is a smaller pinnacle in South Ari, dropping from 15m to 30m. We've often found whitetip reef sharks resting on the sandy bottom, along with schooling bannerfish and fusiliers around the deeper overhangs. Currents here can be mild to moderate, making it a good drift for those comfortable with varying flow. It’s a solid choice for a relaxing dive without too much exertion.
