With 148+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, sea turtles and whale sharks - Kurali Kandu offers some of South Ari Atoll's richest drift diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, July.
Kurali Kandu in South Ari Atoll is a solid drift dive, especially for those getting comfortable with a bit of current. We often take newer divers here because the depth stays pretty consistent around 18 metres, making it easy to manage. You’ll find yourself gliding along a reef slope, typically with a gentle-to-moderate push, which is perfect for observing the reef without too much effort. Look out for white-tip reef sharks resting on the sandy bottom and schools of snapper hanging in the blue. It’s a good spot to just relax and let the ocean do the work.
