Endheri Marine Center - South Ari Atoll

The team at Endheri Marine Center really hit the sweet spot for us in South Ari. Based right on the beach at Angsana Velavaru, they run a smooth operation without feeling overly corporate. We particularly love their morning two-tank trips; they get you out early enough to beat some of the crowds at the more popular thilas. What sets them apart is their local knowledge, especially for spotting whale sharks. They don't just chase them; they seem to have an uncanny knack for being in the right place at the right time. We spent a surface interval listening to one of the guides describe a juvenile blacktip reef shark encounter with such enthusiasm, it was infectious. You get a real sense that these guys genuinely love what they do. We'd suggest asking them about their quieter house reef dives too; we found a fantastic little patch of anemones teeming with porcelain crabs just a short swim from the jetty. If you’re looking for a PADI 5 Star outfit that feels personal, and where the guides remember your name and your air consumption, Endheri is a solid bet.
