With 148+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, sea turtles and whale sharks - Loabi Giri offers some of South Ari Atoll's richest pinnacle diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, July.
Loabi Giri is a gentle pinnacle dive in South Ari Atoll, topping out around 21 metres. We think it’s a lovely spot for divers getting comfortable with Maldivian drift diving, with currents usually quite mild here. Expect to see plenty of smaller reef fish darting around the corals – fusiliers are almost always in residence, and we’ve spotted various nudibranchs tucked away in crevices. It's a relaxed dive, good for taking your time and spotting the little things, rather than expecting big pelagics.
