SeaUrchin Diving Center - Flic en Flac & West Coast

Alright, Flic en Flac has a few spots, but the area around the SeaUrchin Diving Center is where we often find ourselves heading back to. It’s not some grand, remote adventure, but it consistently delivers a solid, enjoyable dive, especially if you’re staying in the area and looking for convenience without sacrificing good stuff to look at. What we really appreciate here is the reliable current, usually a gentle drift, which makes for easy viewing. We’ve seen a decent variety of wrasse here – those Dusky Wrasse are always darting about, and if you keep your eyes peeled, you might spot a Dragon Wrasse making its way along the seabed. We often find ourselves drifting over patches of Staghorn coral, keeping an eye out for the Twinspot Hawkfish perched among the branches. It’s a great spot for macro, too; we’ve had some cracking luck finding Mimic Blennies tucked away. The Orbicular Batfish tend to hang out in small schools, often curious enough to give you a good look as you glide past. For an easygoing afternoon dive, perhaps even your first dive after arriving, it’s a friendly introduction to the West Coast. We'd suggest going in the morning if you can, before any potential afternoon chop picks up.
