Twin Barges - Inner Islands

Merika Falhagando, often called Tiger Point, sits right at the entrance to a harbor in Vaavu Atoll. We’re talking about a shallow plateau, around 5-8 metres, that then drops off to a max depth of 23 metres. This is a site for encounters, plain and simple. We’ve seen anywhere from a handful to over a dozen tiger sharks cruising along the wall, sometimes very close. Visibility averages around 24 metres, making for good viewing. It’s generally a stationary dive, watching the show unfold, but some operators offer a deeper wall profile if you’re keen to explore further. If you want to see tigers, this is a prime spot.
