With 269+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and great white sharks - Klein Pannekoek offers some of Cape Town & Western Cape's richest diving. Water ranges 14-16°C, warmest February, March, April.
Klein Pannekoek, a shallow reef just off the coast, sits in that sweet spot for divers looking to take things a bit slower. Dropping to a gentle 15 meters, it’s a great spot for newer divers to get comfortable or for macro photographers who love to linger. We’ve found plenty of nudibranchs here, tucked amongst the kelp and colorful anemones, along with shy little crabs and small reef fish. It’s not a thrill-a-minute drift, but for a relaxed dive focused on the smaller wonders, it certainly delivers.
