Logies Bay
Protected Area
Duikerklip Provincial Nature Reserve
Why dive here
With 269+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and great white sharks - Logies Bay offers some of Cape Town & Western Cape's richest reef diving. Water ranges 14-16°C, warmest February, March, April.
Logies Bay is a mellow shore dive, easily accessible and often overlooked. Drop in and you'll find a series of rocky gullies and small kelp forests between 5 and 20 meters. It’s a good spot for finding smaller stuff, like shy octopuses tucked into crevices or the occasional puffadder shyshark. We'd suggest it for divers looking for a relaxed afternoon bimble rather than big pelagics.
Safety Notes
Cold water this month (avg 15°C). Drysuit or thick wetsuit (7mm+) recommended.
