MV Afrikaner - Cape Town & Western Cape
The MV Afrikaner, an old coaster that sank in the late 1970s, offers a solid wreck dive in Cape Town’s waters. Sitting upright between 15 and 30 metres, she’s largely intact, which means plenty to explore for those who like to penetrate. We often find shy Roman seabream darting through the holds and a few octopus tucked away in shadowy corners. The depth makes her accessible to advanced open water divers, and while not spectacular, she's a reliable dive when the south-easter isn't blowing. A great option for divers keen on maritime history and some easy navigation through an artificial reef.
