With 269+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and great white sharks - North Paw offers some of Cape Town & Western Cape's richest diving. Water ranges 14-16°C, warmest February, March, April.
North Paw, off Cape Town, is one of those sites that can surprise you on a good day. It's an exposed offshore reef, so conditions really dictate the dive. We've seen ragged-tooth sharks here, often just cruising through, and the walls are covered in the usual Cape invertebrate suspects. It’s a good option for divers comfortable with a bit of swell and searching for bigger pelagics passing by.
