With 269+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and great white sharks - Pinnacle offers some of Cape Town & Western Cape's richest pinnacle diving. Water ranges 14-16°C, warmest February, March, April.
Pinnacle is one of Cape Town's deep offshore reefs, often a prime spot for pelagics. We’ve regularly seen yellowtail and mako sharks patrolling the upper reaches here. The site itself is a large granite outcrop, attracting schools of hottentot and strepies. It’s a good choice for advanced divers comfortable with colder water and potential currents, seeking larger fish action.
