ROOIBOK - Cape Town & Western Cape
The Rooibok wreck sits deep, around 43 metres, off the Cape Peninsula, making it a dive for experienced deep divers. This old fishing vessel went down back in '73, and time has given it a rugged, broken-up character. We've found the stern section often holds the most interest, attracting shysharks tucked into crevices and colourful nudibranchs clinging to the metal. Visibility here can be a bit variable, so picking your day is key for getting the most out of exploring her remains. It’s a quiet, atmospheric dive, offering a good challenge and a glimpse into the region’s maritime past.
