ST Godetia - Cape Town & Western Cape
The ST Godetia is a classic Cape Town wreck dive, likely a steam trawler that now sits in about 18 to 30 metres of water. We’ve always found it a good exploration dive, with enough structure left to poke around in, especially if you enjoy figuring out a ship’s layout. Over the years, the wreck has become a proper home for marine life in these temperate waters. Expect to see shy octopus tucked into crevices, plenty of hottentot and strepies darting through the superstructure, and if you’re lucky, a catshark or two resting on the sand nearby. It’s a solid choice for divers who appreciate a bit of history and enjoy looking for macro life amongst the metal.
