STORM-GANS - Cape Town & Western Cape
The Storm-Gans lies upright at 30 metres, a fishing vessel that went down after its closed season lay-up, thankfully with all crew rescued. At 19 metres long, she's a manageable size for a good poke around, and we've found the wheelhouse and stern sections are particularly interesting for penetration if you're qualified and careful. The wreck has become a solid artificial reef, attracting decent numbers of hottentot, roman, and often a few shy octopus tucked into crevices. It's a dive that rewards a slower pace, perfect for divers keen on wreck exploration without battling strong currents.
