Coral Divers - Sodwana Bay
The team at Coral Divers are the real deal, no doubt about it. We’ve stayed there a few times now, and it’s consistently our top pick for Sodwana. They really specialise in making diving accessible and fun, whether you’re doing your Open Water or just want to hit the reefs with people who know them intimately. It’s perfect for divers who appreciate a friendly, well-oiled operation without any fuss. What we love most is the vibe. It’s got that classic dive camp feel – sandy paths, simple cabins, and everyone gathered around for breakfast before the boat launches. Getting on the boats in Sodwana can be… an experience, but Coral Divers has it dialled in. We always appreciate their quick, efficient launches through the surf, which means more time under the water. Their guides are particularly sharp at spotting the smaller stuff, too. We’ve had incredible encounters with paper fish and pygmy seahorses thanks to their eagle eyes, especially on sites like Two Mile Reef. If you’re into getting serious with your PADI certifications, this is definitely the place; their CDC status means top-tier instruction. Just remember to pack some mozzie spray for the evenings.
