TECUMSEH - Sodwana Bay
Tecumseh, just two meters down, is less a dive and more a snorkel, but it’s a good one. This tanker sank in 1932, and what remains of her hull and superstructure are now a haven for reef life. We’ve seen juvenile batfish darting through the rusted metal, a few parrotfish grazing on algae, and the occasional turtle resting in the shallower sections. It’s perfect for a leisurely explore, especially if you’re looking to stretch your surface interval or introduce newer snorkelers to a piece of history. Best to go when the tide is high and the swell is low for the clearest views.
