Why dive here
With 558+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue sharks, blue-spotted stingrays and bull sharks - TEREDO offers some of Sodwana Bay's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 23-28°C, warmest January, February, March.
Teredo is a shallow wreck, sitting at just 5 metres, making it an ideal second dive or a good spot for newer divers. The remains of the old barge are fairly broken up, but you can still pick out sections of the hull and framework. It's a surprisingly active little ecosystem, home to plenty of juvenile reef fish, nudibranchs, and often a few resident moray eels tucked into the crevices. We'd suggest checking it out when you’re looking for something relaxed.
