Keep an eye out for patrolling reef sharks and the occasional manta gliding past the deeper sections. If you’re into history, they can get you out to some of the old wrecks; it’s a completely different vibe, seeing the metal structures slowly being reclaimed by the ocean. We’d suggest diving here between May and October for the calmest conditions and best visibility, though the winds can pick up a bit in the afternoons, so early starts are usually preferred. Expect warm water, around 28 degrees Celsius, and often a gentle current that makes for a relaxed drift.
