The Irrankandy wreck, about 40 minutes offshore from Trincomalee, is a solid dive for those looking for a proper wreck experience. She’s a decent size, and you can spend a good chunk of your bottom time exploring her various sections, imagining what she was like topside. Over the years, plenty of fish have made her their home – we’ve seen schools of fusiliers darting through the superstructure and the occasional snapper lurking in the darker corners. It's a great pick if you appreciate the history of a wreck just as much as the sea life it attracts.

    Safety Notes
