    StandoutExceptional marine biodiversity

The Nilaveli Wreck sits in remarkably shallow water, a collection of broken metal spread across the seafloor just north of Nilaveli. At a maximum depth of 8 metres, it’s an easy dive, often feeling more like a snorkel with tanks. What remains of the structure now hosts small reef fish and the occasional octopus, making it a good spot for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed, long bottom time. We think it’s a decent introductory wreck.

    Safety Notes

Wreck site - avoid penetration without wreck diving certification. Watch for sharp metal and entanglement hazards.
